Walk length 2 miles/3.2 km approx. Circular.
This walk explores the facinating history behind some of the Squares in Islington.
Beginning from Angel the walk looks at the stories behind the construction of some Islington squares and the architecture within; with mention to some of the more notable residents, such as Vladimir Lenin.
Although not a full guided tour walk, I will be pointing out some historical sights. We will stop for refreshments at the end of the walk close to Angel.
Meet outside Angel underground station close to the RSB bank (see photo below) from 2.45pm for the walk to start at 3pm; the walk finishes back at Angel Underground. See Transport for London
Please keep your 'RSVP' updated for this event as it would help me get accurate numbers, and determine who is turning up for the walk; my phone number is Colin 07709 305681.
