In order for members not to be deterred, lets carry on further discussion via the discussion board:

That's a good idea, I'd like to get involved too :)

I'VE POSTED THIS ON THE MESSAGE BOARD AS WELL (but added a little bit here!) -

Many responses via email suggests to me that there are many members who would like to get together and meet each other and discuss subjects which we all feel an affinity towards. That for me is great and makes me feel the support which I was hoping for when I joined.

So. Let's do it!

I propose as many of us that can/ want to meet should do just that. And soon!

In trying to incorporate what everyone has said, I think localised meet ups as well as regular central ones is a brilliant idea. I personally would be happy to travel to other parts of London, but my issue unfortunately is time. Shall we therefore organise a meet up centrally and then we can discuss everything face to face including getting more activity amongst us, and also any issues to do with feminism, atheism, humanism, etc.

I work near Tottenham Court Road, so am going to look into finding a fairly big cafe that can accommodate a large group, and then it may be helpful to set up an online calendar like google where we can see how many people can do certain dates, and then go for the one where the majority can attend. Is this something you'd like to do Sue? As you've obviously been doing this previously to my joining. If anyone can think of any places that might be suitable then it would be great if you could inquire and get back to us all on the message board.

I for one struggle in everyday life in voicing my opinions as I'd like to when it comes to, for one example, everyday sexisms etc. and can't wait to talk with you all!

Sue I'd love to meet you in person as I think many of your posts are extremely important and interesting and being strong and challenging are brilliant qualities. I fear that in writing maybe your style is misleading (to me anyone, I don't want to speak for anyone else) and it would be better for all of us to be able to have a consistent conversation.

Let's be active! ;-)
