Man Ray Portraits

7 February - 27 May 2013
Wolfson Gallery

Man Ray Portraits is the first major museum retrospective of the influential artist’s photographic portraits.

Featuring over 150 vintage prints from his career in America and Paris taken between 1916 and 1968, the exhibition highlights Man Ray’s central position amongst the leading artists of the Dada and Surrealist movements.

The exhibition includes Man Ray’s revolutionary photographic techniques such as solarisation and early experiments with colour. His subjects include friends, lovers and contemporaries, ranging from Kiki de Montparnasse and Lee Miller to Pablo Picasso and Catherine Deneuve.

    Hi Guys,

As I have explained previously I won't be able to make it today.
Let me know if you prefer to change the date?
I strongly advice that any events suggestions should have a date from the really beginning. I think it makes more sense.
    Cheers,
    Denis

So are people still going, or are there no tickets left?

Have just tried booking a ticket for 12 midday tomorrow and it's all booked up (although tickets still might be available at the desk they say). I suggest re-scheduling until late April or early May perhaps, fixing a date, and then booking well in advance. It'll be a bit warmer out too! (probably). Sunday 28th April?

    Hi Guys,

I meant that we could meet at 11.30am and start the visit at 12pm. Booking online makes more sense. Only problem is that I have too much work and I won't be able to come with you this time I am afraid.
We can reschedule but I think it is better to keep the date and to suggest another one later in the month.

What's the general consensus? - Do you guys want to book in advance, or just take our chances when we get there? At 11.30(am) on a Saturday it shouldn't be too busy, I would've thought.

Hi all! I have friends visiting me so I won´t be able to join you on Saturday for Man Ray, though I would really like to! I will go on Friday evening here http://www.npg.org.uk/whatson/l... It is a Man Ray related late shift exhibition in National Portrait Gallery, in case someone want to join me there! See you soon!
