Grenadier Paranormal Investigation

TWO SPOTS HAVE OPENED UP - FIRST IN, BEST DRESSED!

London Haunts and Horrors is giving you the rare opportunity to take part in a Paranormal Investigation at the world-famous and very haunted Grenadier Pub in Belgravia with White Light Paranormal in April.

The night's format is being finalised but the investigation of the 1720-built building will be led by psychic medium Barbara Lowe from White Light Paranormal and will include a ghost history talk from Jon Kaneko-James from Boo Tours and a explanation of the site from the pub manager, Tony.

Information about the Grenadier is here: http://www.spookyisles.com/2011/12/ghostly-gambler-at-the-grenadier/

The night will begin with dinner at the Grenadier at 7.30pm (which can be paid for on the night) and culminate with a three-hour investigation. We'll finish the investigation about 1.30am but you can leave earlier if you want to.

London Haunts and Horrors has been to the Grenadier a couple of times now and have always enjoyed its atmosphere. This is the first time, we've brought into the investigators to see if what truth is behind the many spooky legends surrounding the pub. While the pub has been noted in television series and articles over the years, the pub manager has told us he doesn't not believe there has been a paranormal investigation - so who knows what we are going to find!

Places are strictly limited, so get in fast so you don't miss out.

We'll be running a workshop about Ghost Investigations a couple of weeks before - we'll keep you posted if you want to learn some skills to help you on your investigation of the Grenadier.

PLEASE NOTE: Dinner is separate and not part of the £10.

Hi, we've sold out. If we get enough on the waiting list to warrant another night, we will do so - probably the next week. But we will wait and see how it goes. So if you want to still go, put your name on the waiting list. Cheers DS

on that note, anyone who is ring things like battery chargers/extension leads etc, can you make sure you make them clearly with magic marker, coloured electrical tape or similar, that way there's no confusion when we're packing up.

      1 · April 18, 2013

actually my night bus is every 10 minutes! might be the same for other locations for saturday. if you have a one day travel card it is free to use on bus at night.

    April 18, 2013

  • Kim L.

Hiya. Just a quick question about torches and light discipline during the investigation. I'm assuming that you don't want us switching our torches on at random moments or keeping them on all the time? Or flashing them into the faces of fellow investigators which might ruin their night vision.

    1 · April 17, 2013

    • Robin George B.

Hope that clears that up with you

    1 · April 15, 2013

      Ok will do.

      1 · April 17, 2013

  • Jon K.

Hello everyone, Jon Kaneko-James here. Just thought I'd get in touch with a few details for Saturday (a lot of this is aimed at drivers, as the bulk of questions I've been asked are from people bringing their cars.)

    CONGESTION CHARGE
From what I've been able to divine, Saturdays are not subject to the congestion charge.

    PARKING.
I've looked at a number of options: there are two 24 hour underground parking places on Park Lane, these have excellent security, but could come to as much as £30 for the duration of the event. The cheapest option seems to be City of Westminster's on-street parking, and I've found a map of on-street parking areas here: http://tinyurl.com/grenadierparking

    COATS/BAGS/GEAR
In general we would request that you keep any *very* valuable items on your person during the investigation, however Robin will be setting up an immobile base in one of the areas reserved for us, so he will be able to watch over anything that people don't want to take along.

Barbara - I've linked to it in the post, so if you follow that it'll take you to the council's map of streets where you can park.

Yes, you guys can have my 2 spots. I emailed David that I wont be coming.

    April 15, 2013

    • Jon K.

Thanks for letting us know, Gina. We had a pretty long waiting list on this event. We hope to see you in future.

      April 15, 2013

  • Gina

Barbara, your spelling and grammar are terrible. I am terribly turned off by all the spelling mistakes. While you dont have to be educated to be a good medium, it does help present a professional front....who wants my spots?

    April 14, 2013

    • Robin George B.

Hi Gina your have to email David if your turning in your places as we still have people on the waiting list
      Thank you
And I hope to see your good self

Hiya. I'm just wondering how some of us who live further away are planning to get home? Is it worth figuring out some transport pooling or is everyone aiming for the night buses?

with regard to the 'things you should bring', is there going to be a secure area for us where we can a. set up our stuff and b. leave it safely while we're off wandering about?

    1 · April 9, 2013

    • lorcan m.

I'm also thinking where we'll have access to mains power for chargers etc.
