Everyone at London Haunts and Horrors loves a good graveyard and this time we're heading to one of the big ones - Brompton Cemetery. And we're getting a guided tour too!
This cemetery is one of the Magificent Seven group of cemeteries - the huge cemeteries like Highgate that were built in the 1840s to cope with the overcrowding in local parish burial grounds.
We'll be visiting Brompton cemetery - which is right next door to West Brompton Tube - on Sunday, 10th February 2013, at 1.30pm. We'll be getting there just in time for the Friends of Brompton guided walk.
Tours begin at 2pm from the South Lodge, just inside the Fulham Road entrance, and last about two hours. PLEASE NOTE: A donation of at least £5 per person contributes toward the work of the Friends.
Afterwards, we will be heading to a local watering hole for a couple of drinks.
We look forward to seeing you there.
