Re 'The Group', it's historical because it's set in
the 1930s and it was written in the 1960s. So it was historical when it was
written and even more historical now. The only criterion for a historical novel
is that when it was written, it was set in a previous era. It doesn't have to be
about major political events or characters, just set in the past.
I don't expect many people to vote for it, but I
try to give a variety of options.
