Really great to meet so many interesting people and hear about different projects and passions for ITC4D!
Great to meet again with some of the members I knew already! Next time I hope to have a bit more time to stay along and connect with others.

I have just received a message back from the venue; yes, there is Wi-Fi there, you just need to ask one of the members of staff there for the passcode.Hope this helps!Spike
Thanks. I'm hoping to find some collaborators this evening, and it's so much easier to explore possibilities and get things moving with wi-fi to hand. Regarding collaboration - I do genuinely mean collaboration. I'm interested in two approaches: One - helping other people do what they are trying to do. Two - finding people to help me (with Dadamac projects). If we have similar vision and are going in the same direction then it's easier to travel together. (Maybe if I help someone else with their project it will be like crossing something off my own "to do" list. My projects are very fluid, as I'm not tied into any accreditation or anything. I just want to help get things done. I have good high-trust practitioner networks and my interest is in learning from each other, sharing what we learn and collaborating more effectively. Resources - including time and effort - are too precious to be squandered through lack of sharing.)
Looking forward to going to my first ICT4D meetup and hearing about what people are up to!

I need help with an ICT4D project. I've already got part of it running, but I need help with another part. You can see the part that is running if you go to UK-Nigeria weekly meetings - http://dadamac.net/initiative/uk-nigeria-weekly-meetings and check some of the blogs. The help I need relates to meetings held once a month - http://dadamac.net/blog/20130122/first-thursday-meeting-updates - I want help in capturing the essence of those meetings and sharing them at http://dadamac.net probably as a monthly blog. The meetings are typed, so they generate their own archive which needs to be written up. Other ideas for how you might collaborate with Dadamac are also welcome. Please catch me at the April 30th meeting, or reply here, or email me - [masked]

perhaps a very random idea, but could you do something with summly?
Thanks Amos - all ideas very welcome. Summly was new to me, so I Googled it. I now understand that your suggestion is that summly could automatically summarise First Thursdays archives for me. That would be amazing. I imagine Summly is designed to deal with comparatively well structured prose, and my initial feeling is that First Thursday archives would be too unstructured (usually several "parallel conversations") but I could well be wrong, as I have no idea of its power. Maybe we could check in some way at the meet-up.
I'll be in bonny Scotland so will miss this one. Maybe Dfid tech pots and Google winners announced soon? Anyone know when? Exciting times are ahead for UK ICT4D :)
Sorry that you will not be there Becky, hope to see you at a future event
Will be good to catch up after being away for a while

London ICT4D Meetup is an informal networking opportunity for people with an interest in the use of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D).
Regular attendees include folk from international development agencies, IT journalists, private sector and social enterprise employees, ICT4D academics and various 'geeks with critiques'.
This is an open group which anyone is welcome to join and we actively seek to include new members.
Our events are held once a month, nominally on the last Tuesday, although we try to synch with other events happening in town.
