The IGC & IGDA Conference for Game Developers

If GDC in San Francisco is a liiittle bit too far for you this year, why not go to the independently organized IGC & IGDA Conference in London instead?

Tickets are free, but you need to register on this eventbrite page:

Excerpt from their page:

The Indie Games Collective & IGDA presents a two-day Conference for Game Developers
I don’t know about you, but this year going to San Francisco for a games conference is a bit too far - but at the same time I hate missing out!
So why not join us for two days of talks on the making and business of games in London? It’s two days of talks all about games, how to make them, how to publish them and on top of that - how to play them from the Indies who will be showing their games at the event!

Speakers include:
Aj Grand-Scrutton
Siobhán Thomas
Will Freeman
Rob Clarke
Andrew Smith
Laura Kate Dale
Natalie Griffiths
Russ Morris Andy Esser
Byron Atkinson-Jones

Get your ticket now before they get snapped up!
Not kidding, the last time we did anything like this in 2013 it was a complete sell-out within a couple of hours so be sure you stake your place at this conference!

The event takes place in Room LR17 within the Southbank University.

The conference itself was really good: great talks, tips and games to check.

Would love to join too if tickets become available. Wanted to meet Android and WP8 Developers looking to monetise their games/apps without integrating any SDKs. The Vserv App Wrapper is the solution! Check it out (and download here):-

Will there be a place for indies to show off their upcoming games?

Just asked the organiser, Byron. Hopefully there will be. I've been to some conferences before where there is a whole session dedicated to rapid fire, 2 minute presentations of games/apps, and have suggested that to Byron, so see what he comes back with.

I think it is always worth bringing along your game to any event you go to, so you can demo it to as many people as possible. Easier if you have a mobile/tablet game, but even if it's for PC, still worth lugging around a laptop to show people on

who are these speakers? who do they work for and what role do they have?

The list of speakers is as in the description above. Scanning the list, they seem mostly to be a mix of journalists who cover indie games, and prominent indie game developers

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
