Clapham Indies

Why are all the meetups in East London? Well, this one isn't :) A mid-month London Indies meetup in Clapham which is good for those based in South or West London.

Jus like the other Indies meets this is an informal and friendly place to meet other devs. Show and play prototypes, talk about all things gaming and share glorious tales of hard drives being wiped when you hadn't backed up for a month.

We have some tables booked but you'll easily spot us from the array of portable technology.

This is the 3rd Clapham meetup, and we're planning on making it a regular thing on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Contact Tim Keenan if you have any questions about the venue etc. You can get him on Twitter @Tim__Keenan

Shame I missed this, I'll come along if it happens again! Although there are better pubs in the area - I highly recommend the Goat on Battersea Rise. Or the Duck does damn good pizza. Or anywhere other than the Slug really :P

Pub will be changing, but the plan is to stick to the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The Pub was a last minute change after the qually unsuitable All Bar One closed for Refurb.

I don't live in Clapham/Battersea so not had much luck investigating. Wanted to take a look at "The Plough" which had been suggested, but will look at the ones you have mentioned too.

Sorry, I have had to cancel due to work commitment...still working at the moment and it's a long way from Tunbridge Wells! Hope to see you next month. In the meantime, I hope to meet Android and WP8 Developers who want to make money! Check out this solution currently used by 23,000 Games/Apps www.appwrapper.org

The intention is to keep it going on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. We had a quiet one in Wimbledon in Jan then moved it to Clapham in Feb. Still trying to find the right pub, but got a few tables reserved so will see how it goes this month.

Sure, all are welcome :) Artists, musicians and business peeps often come to the London Indies meetups, it's not just programmers and designers.

Hey, I was wondering what type of languages are people using? Is there any HTML5/JS guys?

    March 15, 2014

    • Shaz Y.

I know there is a meetup specifically for js/html5 but I've never been to one: http://www.meetup.com...

But in general I'm not sure if many peeps are making html5 games? I'm sure there will be a few though.

I'll have a couple of things to test out hopefully. One early prototype and an older game which had a gameplay overhaul.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
