We play small press games of imagination (for the most past)

What we do looks like this!

How it works: Come along for 12:00pm and meet folk. We then head to the Lounge Bar and pitching starts. Everyone who is going to run something fills in a form about their game, saying what it is they will run, up to how many players can be accommodated, and what the game is about.

It might be GM led or it might be more of a story game with the expectation that everyone contribute equally. When this is complete everyone says what it is they want to play: and hey, if it's your first time here you you get to choose first in what you play.

At 12:30 your group grabs a table and starts playing! The slot finishes around 4:30pm This process repeats at 5:00pm for the second slot.

Following is the passage in a post on the Indie GoD thread on UKRP where John Dodd definitively outlines his plan for the iGoD, and what he'd like from us. There's no pressure, and yes you can do other stuff as well, as long as you run games in a couple of slots.

"All those looking to run indie games get their hand up, from each of you, give me four games that you're willing to run on the day, two different ones for each slot, I'll give you space for half the GM's that you're allocating to the space, which will give all of you the time to go around the Con and actually see the Expo as it's supposed to be. In return, you guarantee that I'll have GM's available at any time through the day if I get five players wanting a game at that time (in other words, the indie tables are always manned). In the event that I suddenly get twenty people turning up wanting a game, you lot aren't responsible for keeping them all happy, I have reserve GM's for that"

Anyone fancy meeting up a bit before the meetup to try to co-ordinate our response to the mooted iGoD area at UK Games Expo? We could ensconce ourselves in Shrigley's from 11.30 say, and attempt to thrash out a programme of games and GMs. Who's with me? Oh and Claus, I'd be interested in playing Durance.

Getting there at 1130 might be a problem. No tube or trains at all from my part of town to London Bridge tomorrow apparently.

Ok, not to worry, we can discuss it during the meetup :).

I will be bringing Durance (Jason Morningstar): You get to generate a planet, colony and characters in this GM-free, purely narrative game for 4 that shifts the role of the guide each scene.

In the year 300 Authority had a problem with habitual criminals overflowing prisons and decommissioned orbital hulks. At the same time Authority vessels crossed the Great Stellar Rift and hurriedly catalogued thousands of new worlds ripe for colonization, but unimaginably distant. Why not then politicians reasoned, dispatch Authority's unwanted refuse to distant stars and put them to work for the betterment of Authority. Now, within a brutal hierarchy convicts and guards must make hard choices that will determine their future and the success or failure of the colony.
