London Indie RPG Meetup

How It Works

Come along for 12:00pm and meet folk. At 12:20 GM touting starts. Everyone who is going to run something says what it is they will run, up to how many players can be accommodated and what the game is about.

It might be GM led or it might be more of a story game with the expectation that everyone contribute equally. When this is complete everyone says what it is they want to play. If there's more of us we'll use sign-up sheets and if there are fewer then it's easy to sort out.

At 12:30 your group grabs a table and starts playing! The slot finishes around 4:30pm This process repeats at 5:00pm for the second slot.

Games On Offer

(This is just a rough flavour of the games that might be offered on the day. Loads more games will be offered.)

In the first session I facilitated "Lost Days of Memories and Madness" for the first time - which turned out to be a bit bumpy, to be honest. There were certain elements of the rules that (on reading) I didn't realize how powerful/significant they were until they actually came up in play, which led to a slightly unsatisfying playing experience. In the second session I played in Classroom Deathmatch, which was several hours of totally awesome carnage!

Nice to get a game of Kingdom of Nothing in - with any luck this was just the opening to a mini-campaign. A nice to get my first taste of Poison'd, if not exactly getting much opportunity to live the pirate's life before the ship went down. A great day.

Hi Elina, I've got a whole bunch of pennies that I'll bring along for tokens, as well as a bunch of index cards for the memories, so I'll bring those along!

I've been reading "Lost Days of Memories & Madness" at the moment too, and was considering bringing it along on Saturday - sounds like Elina's already got it covered!

I just realized I have no dice suitable for Fiasco. Would someone be able to bring a few by?

I bought a copy of Lost Days at Dragon Meet but haven't been able to really get my head around it - would love to play with someone else facilitating.

WLTP DitV and possibly Mouse Guard. Depends what sesh though, wouldn't want 'em to clash with Until We Sink (if it's running that is).

    Hi

I 'might' run Dogs in slot 2 although I've been a tad busy at work and have concentrated my fire on Polaris this week - we'll see.

Put me down for Dogs in the Vineyard - what session were you thinking to run it?

Wish I did. When I tried to say to Elina 'You know who you are', what I actually said was 'You I-know who you are'. So there you go. Give up languages. Stick to role-playing. Anyone joining me for Until We Sink?

I'd really like to play this. I've just read the game and want to run it but think I need to play it first to get a handle on it.

I'm prepared to run Kingdom of Nothing - Think The Fisher King crossed with Neverwhere. I'm trying to pin down details of some of the stuff with the writer/people who've played it, but can run it fine if I don't get details. Can run it as a one-shot or, if people really like the sounds of it, as a slower burning campaign opener.
