We play small press games of imagination

What we do looks like this!

How it works: Come along for 12:00pm and meet folk in the side room to the left of the main bar. At 12:10 everyone who is going to run something pitches what it is they will run, up to how many players can be accommodated, and what the game is about.

It might be GM led or it might be more of a story game with the expectation that everyone contribute equally. When this is complete everyone says what it is they want to play.

At 12:15 your group grabs a table and starts playing! The slot finishes by 4:15pm and the pitching process then repeats for the evening slot. We'll need to leave our dedicated rooms after 8pm, but we can carry on socialising in the main bar area.

Normally, we have Newcomers choice, but as a Christmas gift to our regulars we're switching it up just this once so that in the first slot the veterans get first choice. We'll start with those folk who came to the first indiemeet three years ago and work forward until everyone's got a game.

Newcomer's first choice will resume in January!

At the beginning of the second slot (4:15pm), we'll also be presenting the London Indie Darling Awards. These light-hearted awards will go to honour and remember some of the stuff that we've loved over the last year.

Please note

We will have both side rooms and back rooms available for the second slot (from 4pm), but only the side room for the first slot. This means we will likely be quite crowded for the first slot, but for the first slot only. We will have loads of space for the second slot.

A great day, suitably festive (ish). The Indie Darling Awards were a nice touch; would love to see this become an annual event.

Sorry guys, but health doesn't permit, yet again. Happy holidays, and I hope to join y'all in Jan (when I *might* have an excting new game to playtest).

Looks like I have too many things to do to make it this month. Best wishes for the season whatever holidays you do or do not celebrate. See you in Jan.

Looking forward to meet you all! I'll be in at noon to meet the crowd, but have to run out for some chore, with the plan to return in time for the second slot at 4:15.

Anyone interested in John Tynes' Puppetland with a festive spin?

Not sure exactly how the timings work, but it's looking like a 4 hour slot for the first session and a 3 1/2 slot for the second. However the 'Indie Darling Awards' start at the start of the second slot, so it's probably going to be nearer to 3 hours. As the second slot has more space how about making that the longer slot? Or, having the IDAs at the end of the first slot?

The awards will be pretty quick but it's a fair point. I'll shift the changeover time to 415 so there's a little extra time in the second slot.

Phew, it's hot in here... just the right temperature for some serious book-burning. Why don't we start with all of D&D? Oh sorry, 415, I thought you said 451.

I'm afraid I'm not likely to be able to make this one. I'm keen to try out Intrepid in the new year, though. I'm also setting up a play test group for The Strange - a new, semi storytelling game from Monte Cook. Probably doesn't strictly count as "small press" (it's from the same publisher as Numenera) but would be delighted if anybody would like to join in.

I'll be there. I've always wanted to play Lady Blackbird so I'll probably pitch that, Fiasco or if I'm feeling adventurous Sagas of the Icelanders from the current Bundle of Holding.

Hi all. Please note that I've updated the Meetup description as we're in the alternate location of the Blacksmith and Toffeemaker this month.

I've also put in details of the special Xmas Veterans' Choice and the London Indie Darling Awards!
