The London Loop (London Outer Orbital Path) is a walking route along a 150-mile loop around London (this is divided into 24 shorter sections, each one starting and finishing at train or Tube stations). It mainly passes through green areas in zones 5 and 6. This event is organised jointly with EuroClub (represented by Thomas Eros). This is a chance to go walking in the countryside and to enjoy talking to other people.
Today we will walk sections 12 and 13. Meet near the ticket office at Uxbridge (at the end of branches of the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines, in zone 6). You can finish the walk at Harefield West after 5.0 miles/8 km, or continue another 5 miles/8km to Moor Park.
We usually try to find a pub or cafe for a lunch break (if there are lots of us we will divide ourselves into smaller groups amongst those). Alternatively you may like to bring a sandwich with you to eat during the walk.
Meet Mark or Thomas near the ticket office at Uxbridge Tube station at 10:15am-10:30am. We will leave there promptly at 10:45am to start the walk. You can use the JourneyPlanner to plan your journey there (please check for engineering works which may affect you):
We cannot wait for you if you are late, because it is not fair on the others to delay the walk
Mark will be wearing an orange scarf, and his mobile number is [masked].
Thomas' mobile number is [masked]. Thomas' photo:
There is a £2 meetup charge for this event. Please pay Mark when you see him (or pay Thomas if Mark is not there). You will also need to bring enough cash for your Tube/train/bus tickets and meal/drinks.

Weather forecast for Uxbridge:
The walk should end by about 5pm (depending on the speed at which we walk, how long is required for the lunchtime break, and whether we lose the way) - this would enable you to be back in central London by about 6pm.
