This is the next section of the Thames Path: each month we will be walking a section along the River Thames.
This month the walk (of about 8 miles) is from Windsor to Maidenhead.
This event is organised jointly with EuroClub (represented by Thomas Eros): Thomas will be leading the walk (his photo is shown below).
Meet Thomas by the small WH Smith by the side of Platform 1 at Paddington
train station at 9.45 am, for a prompt departure at 10.00am.
You should buy a return ticket to Maidenhead station (this should allow you to get off at Windsor & Eton Central, and later return from Maidenhead). If you buy tickets as a group of between 3 and 9 people you can get a one-third reduction, as long as you travel back together (note: Group Save 4 tickets are no longer available).
We will catch the 10:15am train, arriving at Windsor & Eton Central at 11:04am(after changing trains at Slough).
We cannot wait for you if you are late, because it is not fair on the others to delay the walk.
* There are often engineering works at weekends. Please check your route to Paddington using this link: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/journeyplanner *
If you wish you can join the train at one of the other stops, then get together with the group at Windsor & Eton Central (or find us on the train):
10:15 London Paddington
10:23 Ealing Broadway
10:33 Hayes & Harlington
10:37 West Drayton
11:04 Windsor & Eton Central
Return trains from Maidenhead will end up back at London Paddington.
We usually try to find a pub or cafe for a lunch break (if there are lots of us we will divide ourselves into smaller groups). Alternatively you may like to bring a sandwich with you to eat during the walk (you may not be allowed to eat this inside a pub or cafe).
Thomas' mobile number is [masked].
There is a £2 meetup charge for this event. Please pay Thomas when you see him. You will also need to bring enough cash for your train/bus tickets and meal/drinks.
Weather forecast for Windsor:
You should be back in London by about 6pm.
Members are responsible for their own health and safety at all events organised by the London International Meetup group. Please always take care, and make sure that you have adequate health / travel insurance
