This is one of our regular social evenings - a chance to enjoy chatting to other members. Please arrive at some time between 6:45pm and 8:30pm, and make sure that you say hello to the host when you come.
Today's event host is Rakhee
Note that there is a £1 fee for this meetup - please pay the host when you arrive.
The meeting place is at Leon, 7 Canvey Street, London SE1 9JZ. This is directly behind the Tate Modern (behind its large chimney), on the corner between Canvey Street and Sumner Street (it is at the ground floor level of a large glass building called the Blue Fin Building).

Please print this map and carry it with you, in case you have difficulty finding it.
If you get lost, just look for/ask for the Tate Modern and look along the nearest row of shops behind it.
A section of Leon on one of the sides will be reserved for our group. If it is sunny we may use part of the outside area instead.
Here are two suggested ways to get here:
(1) Go by Tube to Southwark, on the Jubilee line (it is the stop between Waterloo and London Bridge). When you exit the station look for the orange lamp-posts and follow these towards the Tate Modern. Cross the road to Sumner Street, where you will see a building site on the left and a statue on the right. Follow this road around the corner and you will see Leon on your right hand side.
(2) Go to St Paul's (Central line) or Mansion House (Circle/District line). Walk to the river and cross the Millennium Footbridge. Walk around to the back of the Tate Modern and towards the large glass building that is directly behind it.
Please make the effort to move around to meet different people, and welcome newcomers.
Buy any drinks you want at the bar. Food is also available if you want it.
We will leave Leon's about 8:30-9pm to go to a local pub, where we will stay until 11pm (of course you can leave earlier if you want). The nearest Tube station to the pub is Southwark (on the Jubilee line), or Blackfriars (on the Circle line and District line, and also a National Rail station).
