Internet Marketing Networking And Training

Okay to kick things off in the new venue I've invited my good friend Rob Cornish who is a super affiliate to come along and share some of his secrets with you.

Rob makes a full-time living online selling other people's products, the interesting thing about Rob is that he does not get any of his traffic from Google.

After much discussion he has agreed to share some of his secret traffic strategies with you on 19 November and give you an insight into what you need to do to become a super affiliate.

I will also be doing a short talk on how to make some quick cash for Christmas using some easy to implement Internet marketing techniques.

As you may know the new manager of the old venue at London Bridge didn't want to host the London Meetup for us Internet Marketers, the reason being that there wasn't enough spend going through the bar for it to be an economic proposition for them.

So, I have had my thinking cap on for the last few weeks, talked to a few of the regulars, and decided on a change of format, and a new venue.

First of all the new venue..

The Strand Palace Hotel, downstairs in the business center.
I have set it up so we have access to 3 rooms and our own private bar.

The format for the meetup is changing as well.
1. With the new speaking facilities there will be more guest speakers, a guest speaker each month (other than myself !)

2. Also we want to hear much more from each of you about what you are doing and anything you have picked up on your journey - so a time will be allocated for some audience participation.

3. And finally, I - together with a few others -  will be running an advice/Q&A session after the speakers, so you can bring along any problems/questions/issues you have.

The Strand Palace Hotel has its own (free) wifi network so this will make running diagnostic sessions relatively easy.

This time though, the venue The Strand Palace Hotel is not free and has to be hired. So, reluctantly, we will each have to pay £7 each to get the venue.

I look forward to your continuing support and hope you feel, like I do, that, for what we get out of the event, £7 each still delivers great value for money.

Talk soon,

Sarah

Hi Sarah, I am looking forward to the Meet Up on Monday as regretably I missed the last two meetings. I will get there for 6.30pm as I usually finish work at 6pm. Strand Palace Hotel is very centrally located and easy to get to either by bus, train or tube so I hope that the serious people make an effort and attend. I agree with the attendance fee as venues in London are expensive to hire. I even think think that you should be charging £10 per person. The charge will help to differentiate from those that want a free evening out and those that are serious about learning new IM strategies. Looking forward to a very informative evening and learning from both you and Rob Cornish.

    Hi Sarah and Everyone
It's Time for me to stop procrastinating!
So after years of dreaming and bodging:
Could your meeting actually help a floundering wannabe grasp the basics, so I can actually earn some sort of back-up income online?
    If so, I'm in!
I thought these Guru meet-up things only happened in the States!
When I found one in London I thought I was dreaming =)

well i will be there at 6pm, but the main presentation will not start until 7pm

    November 7, 2012

  • Omar M.

Is there any chance that we can make a 6.30pm start?
Not sure if anyone else agrees... but 6pm makes it a little tight
If not possible to change... I'll make sure I make the 6pm though

If anyone else agrees... please say so!
No good if it's just me asking :)

Reluctantly i have had to change the venue for the next London Meetup.

The HMS president was going to cost £800 to hire out for the evening, so we would have needed at least 100 people to cover the cost.

Unfortunately it looks like we will only have about 40 - 50 people so i have had to book a smaller venue.

The venue for this month is The Strand Palace Hotel, downstairs in the business center.

    The Strand Palace Hotel
    372 Strand, WC2R 0JJ

I have set it up so we have access to 3 rooms and our own private bar.

See you Monday 19 November at 6pm.

Looking forward to meeting you all at the event and also to revisiting the President once again. It's a venue I am very familiar with, as it used to be my workplace back in 07/08! (I was in property sales, not a cabin boy, in case you were wondering) :)

This will be a much easier venue for me to get to, being close to Waterloo station. I will be more than happy to pay £7 and should know whether I can attend within the next few days.

    November 1, 2012

  • Bob L.

Just a quick note to all attending and planning to walk from Embankment - it's actually quite a bit nearer to get out at Temple rather than Embankment station. HMS President is almost exactly halfway between Temple and Blackfriars tube stations (about 250m from either). Anyone travelling via Waterloo who fancies a nice walk - just cross over Waterloo Bridge, down onto the Embankment (via the steps) and East along the Embankment for about 650m. It's also shown clearly (& accurately) on Google Maps (iPhone 5 users please note! ;-) )

Yes the minimum number is about 70 if we only get a few signups then i will cancel the event and give everyone a full refund.

    November 1, 2012

  • Omar M.

Is there a minimum number of attendees?
What if just 3 or 4 of us sign up...?
Will the event still go ahead?

Thought I'd ask before signing up and paying

    Thanks
