UK born Australia raised Anita Wardell was inspired by the great Jazz instrumentalists, Clifford Brown, Cannonball Adderley, Miles Davis and Charlie Parker. At the same time she learned her vocal craft from greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Mark Murphy, Carmen McRae, Betty Carter, Jon Hendricks and Eddie Jefferson.
Anita Wardell’s singing is exciting and breathtaking. She is noted for her mesmerizing and captivating vocal improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos. British award winner( 2013) Anita Wardell is a musician who uses the voice as her instrument, displaying precision and agility, mixed with heartfelt emotion.
Singer Norma Winstone praised her "unexpected vulnerability, which makes her reading of the ballads both beautiful and touching. Her honesty shines in this well-chosen collection of songs. Bebop pioneer Mark Murphy proclaimed Anita, "a gift from Australia", adding "what hits mere, is how expressive her ballad singing is. Then she has the courage to scat a ballad or two, not unlike a young lady disciple of the Ben Webster school." Her latest Cd The Road, recorded on the specific label has received 4 star reviews since its release in August 2013.
Multi-talented Anton Stephans has performed with George Michael, Sting, Tina Turner (Golden Eye tour), Chaka Khan (‘Come into My House’), Mica Paris, Cliff Richard and many more stars. Anton is also BBC Radio London’s Resident Singer.
His theatre credits include Lead Vocalist in Grateful (Cadogan Hall), musical Lead in Guys Sing Dolls (Church Hill Theatre Edinburgh), Battle in Informed Consent (Jermyn Street Theatre) and many more.
Cassidy is a West End actress and has recently started guest singing for The Jive Aces. In March this year she finished a four month run performing as Paquette in Candide at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Prior to that she played The Maid in Blood Wedding at The Courtyard Theatre. Last year she starred as Monica in the two hander ROOMS: A ROCK ROMANCE at the Finborough Theatre and was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical for Broadwayworld.com for her performance. She was also in the final cast of Avenue Q in which she played the dual roles of Kate Monster/Lucy The Slut. She appeared in the principle role of Maggie in the original West End cast of LEND ME A TENOR at the Gielgud Theatre. Prior to that she played Amy in Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY at the Southwark Playhouse which lead to her being cast as Donna in Casualty.
