Blinkbox Books presents an entertaining and intimate show featuring Clare Balding in conversation with some of Britain’s best loved writers, discussing their current book, previous works and a variety of personal experiences.
Clare turns her attention to Man Booker Prize contender, actor-turned-novelist-turned-screenwriter of Hollywood blockbusters, David Nicholls, quizzing him about the rampant success of novels such as One Day and Starter for Ten, his extensive work for television and film as well as his forthcoming release Us.
She also gets the chance to turn the tables on popular chat show host Graham Norton by asking him about his revealing new book, The Life and Loves of a He Devil, which is published on 23 October. With Graham’s unique blend of characteristic humour and outrageous candour his new book promises tales of his loves and losses and how they’ve shaped his life, from the side-splittingly funny to the tear-jerkingly sad and everything in between.
As Clare herself says, ‘It is fantastic that blinkbox Books are connecting the readers with authors in this way and these events are a unique chance for readers and authors to share their thoughts and experiences. I’m thrilled to be involved in what I hope will be intimate, illuminating and intriguing conversations allowing readers to discover more about their beloved authors.’
Ticket price includes hardcover copies of the two authors’ new books and Clare’s latest book on ebook from blinkbox Books.
We will be meeting before and after the event and more details will be provided closer to the time. Please book your ticket directly via www.cadoganhall.com
