Dean started out as a stand up comedian in 2000. After his wife bought him a voice-over course for his birthday, as he loved creating characters, he was then taken on by a London voiceover agency voice-shop. He loved making people laugh and wanted to act. He entered a nationwide search by the BBC to find undiscovered talent 16,000 people entered. Dean was the only untrained actor to reach the final and eventually went on to win a contract with the BBC. He appeared in two episodes of Eastenders. Since then Dean trained at the artist theatre school for three years under the watchful eye of respected British actress Amanda Redman. Dean has gone on to shoot many short films, panel shows, ads, virals and a sitcom. Headlock security (2014)sees Dean take his first lead role in a feature length comedy. He plays Charlie a writer a romantic and unemployed everyman.
