Lua & Corona SDK - Cross platform mobile game development

The indie gaming scene is stronger than ever and with the vast number of platforms and devices available to us it's important to choose a cross platform technology that's both flexible and lightweight for rapid prototyping, yet powerful enough to deliver the performance of a native app...that's where Lua and the Corona SDK come in.

I've spent the last year designing and developing a mobile game called Epic Eric (http://epicericgame.com/trailer) which was recently showcased as a top 10 title in the Develop Indie Awards. This talk will cover both lessons learnt throughout the production of the game as well as a basic beginners guide to getting started with indie game development in Corona and Lua.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
