Save the date for the August MUG -- in our shiny new
This month we have MongoDB talks from Colin Howe of Conversocial, Aleks Drozdov of The National Archives and Jim Webber of Neo Technology.
Colin Howe, Conversocial
Colin is VP of Engineering at Conversocial, and this month he will be giving a talk to the London MongoDB User Group on MongoDB on AWS and moving MongoDB to SSDs on Amazon Web Services.
Aleks Drozdov, The National Archives
Aleks will give a talk on From SQL Server to MongoDB, with a special focus on the actual transformation process and data schema.
Jim Webber, Neo Technology
In this session Jim will talk about connected data, Neo4j and MongoDB. In the course of 20 minutes, Jim will explore Neo4j's data and consistency models, demonstrate how to query sophisticated graphs by drawing pictures, and show how it scales out and shards for a variety of well-known users. Jim will also be looking at how MongoDB compares to a document storage system, and exploring when MongoDB and Neo4j would be useful together.
