So a new year and one of my (many) New Years Resolutions is to get some more events posted for Dancing Not Drinking, and get the group going again. Thanks so much to all those who have posted events in the meantime- I haven't been able to make any but hope they've all been great successes!
So first up, we have many many new members who have joined recently so I thought we would have a bit of a general Meetup back where it all started at the Phoenix pub on Cavendish Square in Central London.
I shall reserve an area from about 9.00 in the pub upstairs, where we can all meet chat and be generally have a jolly good time, before heading downstairs around 10/ 10.30 where they turn their basement into a mini club, where they will be playing Soul/ funk at a night called Soul of the 60's.
The pub upstairs is free, and downstairs the club is £5 or for the very thrifty amongst us , you can sign up to the guestlist and get in for £4 by e-mailing your name and how many guests you are bringing to [masked]!
So get signed up and lets kick off 2014 (a bit late) with what will hopefully be a terrific night of dancing!
Here is the blurb from the Soul of the Sixties Website called London Soul Club:
Now in its 5th hipshaking year, London’s finest Motown soul party takes over The Phoenix, Cavendish Sq, to deliver more belting sixties classics than you can spin a glitterball too.
From the jump-jiving sounds of Mr Jackie Wilson to the marvellous Marvelettes we play the very finest in Motown, Stax and Atlantic soul alongside a bumper helping of Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll and a touch of footstomping Funk.
So get out of your seat and get ready to stomp your feet!

Can't wait- see y'all there
