Come along to our monthly film night, where we have some fantastic talks, discussions and inspirational films to watch. This month we will be having folk along to talk about Wild Law, and screening a film (whose title I have forgotten!). It's at a fantastic venue, and there is some amazing home-made food you can buy on the night for around £6 a plate. The entry fee is £3 employed and £2 unemployed. Doors open at 6.45. Come along :D
This months theme is to celebrate the abundance of the harvest, and will be a foraging special, with two fantastic speakers in the evening, Robin Harford of Eatweeds who will be sharing tales of foraging near and far, giving us insight into nature's seasonal offerings on our doorstep, while inspiring us to go out and reconnect. and Lewis from London Orchard Project, who is your man for any questions or advice on fruit trees, will be sharing his experiences and ideas for the orchardisation of the capital and linking us to our ancient harvest festival traditions. . Talks and interactive displays from Lewis including bringing the apple press!
There is an option to go on a foraged walk guided walk during the day by Robin Harford, The guided walk venue is unconfirmed, but possibly Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington, or possibly Hackney Marshes.
There is a limit of 25 people on the foraging walk, so let me know if you want a ticket and we are hoping to set up an Event Brite event for this for people to pre-purchase. The walk will start at 3pm and last 2-2.5 hours, for £15 (which includes entry to the Picture house in the evening). If you want to book a space contact Steve Pagett [masked],[masked]
If you just want to come to the evening, the doors open at 7pm, and I will be floating around someone, either helping on the door, bar, or somewhere! (just ask someone on the door if you want to find me)
Look forward to meeting you, and seeing some of you for a returning visit.
