Philosophy Now "Against Stupidity" Award evening.

We are very happy to announce that this year's winner of Philosophy Now's Award for Contributions in the Fight Against Stupidity is Dr Ben Goldacre. The award will be mainly for his book, blog and long-running newspaper column on "Bad Science" (see The Award will be presented on Tuesday November 13th at Conway Hall in central London, and Ben Goldacre will give a short acceptance talk after receiving the award.
The event will be combined with Philosophy For All's annual George Ross Memorial Lecture, which this year will be given by the author Lesley Chamberlain on "A Goethean in Postmodern London".

The event is free and everyone is welcome, but do please get an electronic ticket via the page linked below to give us some idea how many people are coming! Doors open at 6:30pm. There will be a wine and cheese reception afterwards.
