This pub crawl takes us to the best of Belgravia's cosy mews pubs and should work well for anyone thinking of spending the afternoon at Winter Wonderland - http://www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/ - or who can afford to do their Christmas shopping in Knightsbridge!
We'll be meeting at The Nags Head, 53 Kinnerton Street, SW1X 8ED. The nearest underground station is Hyde Park Corner - take Exit 4 for Knightsbridge (south side) and at the top of the ramp continue walking past the Wellesley Hotel, ICICI Bank and HR Owen car dealership. Turn left into Wilton Place and as soon as you have passed The Berkeley Hotel cross over the road into Kinnerton Street. Turn left when you reach The Wilton Arms and you'll see The Nags Head about 50 yards ahead of you on the right.
Please note that The Nags Head has a strict no mobile-phone policy. Whilst I will keep mine on (silent) just in case anyone can't find the group, please take a careful note of the directions so that we can keep calls to a minimum.
The plan is to head off to The Star Tavern, 6 Belgrave Mews West, SW1X 8HT - http://www.star-tavern-belgravia.co.uk/ - at around 8.30/8.45 and then The Granadier, 18 Wilton Row, SW1X 7NR - http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/grenadier-belgrave-square/c0800/ - at around 9.45/10.00.
Both The Star Tavern (which, incidentally, is famous for being the haunt of the Great Train Robbery plotters) and The Grenadier are quite difficult to find, so it's probably best to meet in The Nags Head, but if you are going to be joining us later on please take a note of my phone number so that you can find us.
