Howdy folks,

I hope you're all excited for another evening SICP-ing. Last week we
saw how functions can be used not just to describe processes, but data
structures as well. In fact, we described actual data using pure
functions - defining numbers as nested lambdas via a construct called
Church Numerals.

We'll be a bit more practical this week. Without giving away tomorrow's
problems, we'll work on higher-order functions and delve deeper in data
abstraction - in particular, we'll cover some "classic" functional
programming topics in their pure scheme form.

If you've not come to our dojo's before, now is a great time to start.
Just have a quick read through the book and come ready for some fun (and
challenging!) computer science/software engineering problems.

I do need to let building security know your names before attending, so
please update the group's RSVP or shoot me a quick email before noon
tomorrow.

See you tomorrow!
