Join us and a crowd of singles for a Friday night drinks tasting party! We organise weekly events in London for singles to meet up, mingle, taste drinks, learn a little and have a great time! Meet up to 40 people (20 girls, 20 guys) and tast 6 different drinks to start off your weekend. Events are always held on a Friday night, so you can let your hair down and not worry about work the next day. WHAT WE DO We began running these events after trying a few speed dating nights, and wanting a more innovative way of meeting people. We were the first people to create the following concepts! Wine Tasting & Dating Beer Tasting & Dating Champagne Tasting & Dating Cocktail Tasting & Dating Due to demand, we now have a web site dedicated to these events - grapevinesocial. Our events are therefore open to all singles who want to taste drinks not just meetup members! So, there will always be a great and different crowd of people to meet at every event. Since we started, we have had fantastic success stories, with 4 weddings this year alone and the pitter patter of tiny tots too...! WHAT HAPPENS Our events aren't formal tastings, but the nights are structured. This just ensures that you have the opportunity to meet everyone at the event, and get the most out of the evening. We always ensure between 30-40 people at every event for a energetic atmosphere and a great crowd of singles to meet. We have 2 hosts that do a great job of ensuring the night runs smoothly and you have a fantastic night with us. You aren't expected to be a connaisseur, just enjoy tasting different varieties of drinks, and learning a little. as the emphasis is on fun, with a little education thrown in for good measure. Our tried and tested formula involves: - 7.30pm - arrival for mingling in the bar - 8ish - introduction to the tasting, and the first corks are popped! - 9ish - break for tapas food - 10ish - wine quiz revealed and winner announced. - 10 onwards - more mingling for as long as you like with whoever you like!
