Yoga, Meditation & Deep Relaxation Stress-buster #2 (social follows) suits all!

Christmas is coming so thought i'd best throw in a few Stress-buster specials! So yes, as the rest of nature follows it's natural inclination to slow down and rest and replenish as we start to enter Winter we urbanised Humans tend to run around even more and go counter flow to the flow of nature and our instincts trying to get things done! This is particularly stressful at this time of year on our Adrenals as naturally right now the body and mind wants to flow into a state of quiescence and reflection as this is what the conditions around us prompt in the body. 

So it's even more important right now to get that space where you can relax the nervous system, otherwise you begin to carry the stress and tiredness through into the coming months. It's also a time where we need the space to 'germinate' new ideas in our subconscious ready for Spring, much like bulbs that sit under the surface of the Earth through Winter before launching into new growth as the sun comes back in Spring - it doesn't look like there is a lot going, but under the surface there is! So we sometimes forget as human beings that we are part of nature too and also subjected to the forces at work around us.

The other prevalent dynamic at this time of year is the sense of low mood we can sometimes feel as we begin to draw inwards - introversion (yin) is natural to a degree at this time of year, but you still need the spark and flame of healthy human contact to keep the inner pilot light burning! - or else we can then start to feel 'depressed'. So since the heady days of extroversion (yang) in summer have now naturally past, come and have some slightly more peaceful but nourishing contact at the class and pub social that follows!    

In this class we slow down the processes of the body and nervous system, so you go way beyond your 'normal' state of relaxation, allowing the body to rest and replenish much more deeply and nervous system and hormones to re-balance.

So come and give your body and mind some quality rest and nourishment on a Tuesday evening!

Having done yoga first, it makes socialising and connecting with those around you much easier as you the yoga I teach amplifies your feel good hormones and Heart energy!

Class is 7.30 until 9.00

Cost: Drop in £10, £9 concession (low income / student) or Special Offer on your first visit: 4 classes for £30 / £26 concession
