Yoga & Intro to Meditation & Deep Relaxation (social follows) suitable for all

Ever wondered what all this yoga and meditation stuff is all about? And deep relaxation? - i guess you're wondering "isn't that what happens when i'm watching TV with a packet of crisps and a glass of red?" Well not really, all that does is trance you out, with your hypothalamus and nervous system still over-stimulated.

When you’re busy and stressed your brain wave patterns and hormones change (Cortisol levels increase) and life actually then appears to be going even quicker than what it actually is and we don't enjoy the journey as much either!

In this class we slow down the processes of the body and nervous system, so you go way beyond your 'normal' state of relaxation, allowing the body to rest and replenish much more deeply and nervous system and hormones to re-balance.

Plus you get some of the things you might be missing in your busy life - quality awareness of your body and contact with other people. 

So some of you are are crazy busy, especially in London, but this heightens the need even more for practices which relax and balance you. At least once a week you need to let your energy come back inside, replenish, as then when your energy returns back to the surface you have even more than before! And did I mention the class is fun and we go to the pub after?

So the evening will flow something like this....

-Intro talk on Meditation
-Initial relaxation
-Yoga sequences including some partner yoga exercises
-Breathing exercise
-Deep relaxation

-Pub to hang out!

Having done yoga first, it makes socialising and connecting with those around you much easier as you the yoga I teach amplifies your feel good hormones and Heart energy!

The Albany club is in a converted church off Albany St - Walk down Albany St (which is opposite Great Portland St tube station) and take the 3rd right turn - the turning after the police station and where you see Cape of Good Hope Pub and the Albany is behind there. Sat Nav is NW1 4EE


Class is 7.30 until 9.00

Cost: Drop in £10, £9 concession (low income / student) or Special Offer on your first visit: 4 classes for £30 / £26 concession
