What do we do?
London Vegan & Vegetarian Family Meetup is a place for vegan & vegetarian families to come together and meet other vegan and vegetarian families - usually in child friendly places ie: parks, outdoor spaces, potlucks, animal sanctuaries, museums in London mostly and sometimes out of London.
Is it only for vegans & vegetarians?
It's for families looking at going on the vegan journey so you don't necessarily have to be vegan or vegetarian, if you're interested in learning more about veganism with the help of fellow members of this group, then this is the group for you. However, we do ask that you eat vegan food only at our events.
What is a vegan?
A vegan is someone who tries to live without exploiting animals, for the benefit of animals, people and the planet. Vegans eat a plant-based diet, with nothing coming from animals - no meat, milk, eggs or honey, for example. A vegan lifestyle also avoids leather, wool, silk and other animal products for clothing or any other purpose.
How long has this group been going?
The group was founded by someone who like yourself was looking to meet other veggie families in London, in September 2011 and has been growing steadily ever since.
Why go vegan anyway?
Please see this page from the Vegan Society: http://www.vegansocie...
If you have any questions no matter how silly they may seem, please don't hesitate to ask by either sending a message to either myself, the organisers Beata, Richard or Jenny. We were all on the vegan journey at some point and are parents too and will do our best to help you.
In the meantime, I'll look forward to meeting up with you all soon! :)
