I'm a back end developer using mostly PHP/MySQL and some C# with an interest in scaling up web apps. Ever more devices are connected and they all want to be served which makes the subject fascinating. I commute from Surrey into London for work.

What is your role in making websites faster?

Pretty much everything that I can do on the server side to keep the request/response cycle as short and sweet as possible
