    Hello all , in our company we are using codeigniter and we are going to change this framework for many reasons, so we are discussing between us which php framework we should use , I proposed yii but one of the developer replied literally Yii is simply out of date.  "It's actually better than CI but if it doesn't use composer, it's not worth using." Can someone give me an argument that says the opposite ?

      I think it is about having a balance between productivity and knowledge of code. If you have to compile everything, it becomes too time consuming, but you cannot only rely on package managers either. The platform/framework of choice should allow for continuity over the years. I believe yii will give you exactly that.

      I completly agree with what you said.

      But in this case, yii + composer on google would have gave him the information. So the package is already done.

      That was even the first time I learned about composer.

      I met a lot of developper who just bounce people to avoid any change in their development environment. What I like in our group is that developers are _still_ looking and thinking a way to improve things.

    The last meeting was more like open chat, I really like the idea maybe we could interchange this kind of meeting with conference.

      I really prefer conference. More structured and you get schemas and a real visual of everything.

      Thank you. It might be possible to do both: one presentation and then open discussion.

    Hi everybody,

    Thanks for coming to the meetup and apologies for not being able to participate as I had a medical emergency.

    However, I am sure Matteo and Carla did a great job - I cannot thank them enough for helping out.

    Our original agenda did not work out as you have noticed, but I heard you had very fruitful discussions about the interaction between fronted and Yii.

    I am working hard to get the agenda for April confirmed as soon as possible and should get back to you within a week.

    Spring is in the air, so have a great weekend and I will see you soon!

    Cass

    Hello, was nice to see you all yesterday!

    About the AngularJS topic, here is the way I mentioned I'm using to read (with php) the data from the calls made with the $http service:

    $data = file_get_contents("php://input");

    And the extension is available here: http://www.yiiframework.com/extension/yii-angularjs-helper/
