Here is an on line diary of balls and ballroom dance venues in London. It is for ballroom and Latin dancers who want to meet and dance with other dancers at glamorous London balls and dances. Only ballroom dance venues are on this site, not lessons or dance schools. All are within Greater London, UK. We give information on ticket prices, how to buy them, how to get to the venue by public transport, bar prices, the type of music that will be played and a description of the dance band. There is no spam or advertising on this site. We have selected about ten to fifteen venues a month, which are fun to go to, and have an atmosphere and ambience in which one can ask people who one doesn't know, to dance. Glamorous venues with live music, where the guests make an effort to dress up are preferred, and get top listing.

The purpose of this web site is to make available information about places to go, meet like minded people who like dancing, and dance. We try to have at least one table with a 'meet up' sign at these venues, for ballroom dancers to congregate around, and be able to easily meet other dancers.

We hope this web site will help and encourage dancers to go out and try new places and venues in London, thus encouraging investment and growth in this area of entertainment.

As I attempt to visit the all of these venues myself, I will take photos and post them onto this site, to give our members a better idea of what the various places are like. I will also write a brief subjective review about how I found the decor, drinks, food, cloakrooms, dancing, atmosphere and my fellow guests. You may, of course, enter your own comments about venues on this site, and provided it is constructive criticism, they will be accessible for all to read. Our definition of 'Ballroom dances' to qualify for listing includes waltz, quickstep, tango and foxtrot and also the Latin dances rumba, cha cha, jive and samba. If it's a particularly spectacular event we also list some lindy hop, swing and argentinian tango venues, especially if it's in period dress or a black tie event, and if some ballroom dancing is possible with the style of the music to be played
