What we’re about

Since 2012, and as described by the RSA http://ow.ly/nzgMX, come and join us all for drinks, and join over at the London Behavioural Economics Network on Facebook.

The boat (for those with us in 2014) is having a refurb so we're in-land at the sister pub near Piccadilly Circus called 'The Comedy Pub' – the same great behavioural network *without* any sea-sickness!

We have the actual Comedy Club downstairs, and all mod cons (inc. beer on tap, lavatory, fridge wine/bottle cooler, screen, chairs tables). https://twitter.com/oliverpayne/status/7094...

Check the dates: SECOND MONDAY (for those who a. hate boats, and b. can't do Tuesdays) for the informal evening gathering for communications, marketing, and research specialists working with behavioural sciences (behavioural economics, decision theory, psychology, neuromarketing, etc) in business or government who're in, or are visiting, London (UK).

It's the great networking place for practitioners, academics, and clients to meet and chat about all aspects of cognitive-behavioural communications – and it's in a central London location.

Feel free to drop by for a bit, or stay for a while. It’s a very friendly bunch, and all are welcome. And do bring buddies you think may enjoy it.

London Behavioural Economic Network was first talked about by Oliver Payne and Leigh Caldwell towards the end of 2011, as a way of providing a place to bring together behavioural academics and practitioners; Towards the beginning of 2012, we were in our first home at the Salisbury pub. That year Oliver, Leigh, Nathalie Spencer, and Elina Halonen, put their heads together and settled on the overall name of London Behavioural Economics Network (LBEN). 2013 saw the move to the larger Sussex pub, and 'Ten Min Talks' speaking slots, and in 2014 a move to the more malleable space at the Tattershall Castle – a large bar-boat moored at Embankment on the Thames.
