Play-test a tabletop RPG!

I am looking for tabletop roleplayers who may be interested in helping me play test a tabletop RPG I am working on. It is similar to DnD (and therefore a few things are generously borrowed from their books until I have complete books of my own), but it is not a d20 system because I found myself home brewing too much in the d20 system. Mind as well build my own rules, right?

I would like to start a 4ish person group (I may have one or two people interested), to take a look at it and make characters. If I get a solid group who decides in the future that they do not wish to continue using my mechanics, we can continue the campaign in 3.5e. with a little bit of home brewing.

I would like to set a date sometime between June 1st - June 8th to meet each other and make characters; I can email or give you dropbox access to the files ahead of time to peruse and get character ideas ahead of time.

Please post if interested, and we can start working out a date?

ooh seems interesting... I presume we would make our characters once we get there? and I did not see the classes form in the dropbox

you can start ahead of time but yes the first session is character creation. Classes should be in the Classes and Abilities subfolder.

I should also point out that since this RPG i taking place oj aplanet of my own choosing players have th choice of being a planet nativ o from ANY other planet in any other game... Thats rightyou can make a char fom earth or tatooine or vulcan or pandora or whatever. I like story challenges.

well for anyone having trouble reading what my phone entered above, it basically says you can make a character from any planet if you dont want to be a Pallos native, and will arrive on Pallos with a little story arc. :)

any playerss are welcome.sorry for the slow response my internet is down for moving. Thats why the after June 1. If I can figure out how to link a file or share my dropbox ovee this app I can show you some ofvthe mechanics. Its pen and paper (or online tabletop once I get more instruction on settint up Maptools etc). It uses a attribute score + luck die roll system. The attributes are similar to Dnds ability scores: Str Dex Int Vitality (instead of Con) Perception Technology Magic and Willpower. Starting attributes are very similar to the Dnd range 10-18ish. The big difference is a character point buy system that accounts for most upgrades. Theres no set feat limit skill adjustments magic abilities only an amount of CP to spend. Lemme try to figure out some uploads or links...

Also the level system is 1-100 per class with an absolute total levels of 200

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
