Though I started like most(Playing Monopoly and Pop-o-matic Trouble with my parents), I realized how much I enjoyed board games later in life when I was introduced to Battlestar Galactica by my best friend, and spent the next 5 hours both trying to decipher who was the scummy cylon amongst the thinly veiled excuse for an alliance.
Mostly anything someone presents me with the opportunity to play. I've mostly enjoyed the "Co-op" games with the chances of having a backstabber in the group, and games that have more focus on strategy than random dice rolls(though of course a certain amount of randomness is always necessary). I had a fantastic time playing Gloom at Chausters Pub for my first London board game night. Essentially I'll sit down and enjoy myself with anything, as long as my competitors don't take themselves too seriously and are in it for the fun. I also play Magic: The Gathering and host a bi-weekly booster draft tournament called Drinking and Drafting out of my apartment. I'm sure you can imagine how those go.
I would describe myself as a hardcore gamer with a casual attitude.
Weekdays work best for me, as I'm fairly busy most weekends.
Pie, because I've never seen a meat cake that I would want to eat.
Looking to make some new friends and play some board games. Always interested in a board or card game with a good group of positive individuals.
