Roundabout answer? My dad. He's 70 and has every board game imaginable that came out until video games were made available to consumers. He taught me games on our old Commodore 64 & then went from there. He retired at 55 & spends his retirement playing video games, and sometimes it's embarrassing to confess that my 70 year old dad beat Dead Island in a weekend and I'm still working through it...
Board games. 100%. Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride are my favourites. I've been playing them every weekend since I was maybe 15? I just learned Lost Cities and San Juan, and since Christmas Dominion has quickly become a new found favourite -
My roommate, my boyfriend & I play very competitively and we were all looking for a tournament venue to get involved in.
With school, two jobs and volunteering I'm so sporadically available it's a "whenever I have the chance" for me.
Cake. 1) chocolate cake > chocolate pie, and I'm a choco-holic 2) pie isn't filling. You finish a slice and you always want more. 3) I love decorating, and decorating pies is limited to detailed crusts and icing just looks dumb. 4) cake freezes better & therefore lasts longer
I am a fourth year student at UWO & I work two jobs; at a paint store & in a call centre.
Good first experience. Everyone was so welcoming and patient! My roommate and I felt right at home after only half an hour.
