I started playing RPGs when I was about 12. Before that, solo gamebooks (e.g. Fighting Fantasy) were what got me interested in gaming.
I like tabletop RPGs, board games, and card games, but would also be up for trying wargames (either miniatures or hex-and-chit). Favourites include: 1. RPGs: D&D (original to BXCMI), AD&D (original to 2nd edition), Pathfinder, anything from Palladium, Warhammer FRP (original); 2. Board Games: Arkham Horror, Talisman (2nd edition), Risk, Scrabble; 3. Card Games: Magic, Euchre, Poker. I must mention that I'm very keen to try some old-school RPGing (e.g. DCC, OSRIC, Swords & Wizardry, Labyrinth Lord, Mutant Future, LotFP, et cetera) if I can find some like-minded players.
I would say, right now, a casual gamer, but with the right group I could definitely slide into the hardcore.
Whenever I have the chance.
Cake - usually sweeter, and less messy.
I've lived in London for 6 years now. Aside from the occasional game of Magic or Arkham Horror, I haven't had much chance to game with others since being here. Would love to get back into RPGs in a serious way!
I attended Friday evening, July 4, 2014, and had a great time! I was introduced to the board game 'Tomorrow', the dice game 'King of Tokyo', and the card games 'Skull and Roses' and 'Hanabi'; they were all tons of fun (especially 'Hanabi'). The pub was comfortable, and everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely attend again!
