Come along on Sunday 9th February for a trip to the National Army Museum!
About the museum
Situated in Chelsea, the National Army Museum relates the overall history of the British Army, British colonial, imperial and commonwealth forces and the British Indian Army as a whole from 1066 to the present day and its effects on national and international history.
The museum also has an extensive art gallery, which includes a selection of portraits, battle scenes and domestic interiors, horse portraits and camp scenes, dating from 1630 to 2000, by some of Britain’s greatest artists.
With 2014 being the 100th year anniversary of the start of WWI, the museum have many relevant galleries about the war.
I have some WWI and WW2 memorabilia from my grandfathers and great-grandfathers which I will bring along to show anyone who is interested afterwards in the pub. If anyone else has anything, feel free to bring it along.
The museum has free entry!
Afterwards, we will head to The Surprise pub, 6 Christchurch Terrace for a chat over a drink. Please indicate when you RSVP whether you wish to attend at 1:30pm or 2:30pm.
If you can't see us outside the station, please call.
