Dear everyone on NomadsLand mailing list,
This is the first time i've ever responded to any of the emails
sent by Nomadsland meetup group, so whether that makes me a bad person,
or just lazy, I don't know and don't want to discuss further cos it's a
waste of everyone's life, but I just wanted to say Hello everyone!?
I've never actually been to any of the meetings either, but have
read with a slight twang of disappointment followed by detached
excitement, all of the emails regarding the near death and subsequent
phoenix like recovery of Nomadsland films group.
So (if you're still reading) Congratulations and Well Done Nick
St Clare, wherever you are.
I don't know if it's too random or not to suggest but I saw a
really interesting film at last years Sheffield doc fest by called Z9.
?(if anyone reads and is interested for more info, I'll make more
effort to get it) Not sure why I picked that one out of hundreds of
good films, it just sticks for some reason.
I guess for me it was not only the content but the craft of film
making that added that extra vital interest, and I felt it was quite
unique so if you get the chance, watch it and let me know what you
think. :-) ?
Also there is a film festival coming up at the BFI called
Refugee in Film where there will be some quite interesting topics
within the films including some about landless people, worth watching
and definitely in need of discussing at the festival with people who
have and have not experience of these sorts of situations. ?Please come.
I doubt I speak for myself only, but I find it hard to feel
attached to a group that basically consists of words. so I think I'd
like to come to a meeting some time soon and will try to make the
effort, because I think this is a really good opportunity to meet and
talk about and potentially make good films!!?
Thanks and hopefully meet some of you soon.

June the 4th NomadsLand meetup
Hi to Everyone on the NomadsLand mailing list,
(and yes, that means you too !),
several people are asking "what film is going to be shown...?"
I recently sent an email out to thie list asking for suggestions,
and so far, only one person has replied to that email,
soooo, I have chosen some films about Genetically Modified foods
and the serious threat which I and many others - hence the films!
feel they pose to our collective health and well-being.
also, on a positive note,
there is a film about a Permaculture Revolution
which has lately taken place on a certain island in the Carribean...
I'm not going to say what the films are called,
so you will have to come and see for yourselves...
but you get the general flavour.
If you want to change or influence it, please let me know, we have DVD
looking forward to hearing from you all asap,
