Hi everyone!

This meetup is in association with 'The not so yet in the film industry' Meetup group organised by Colin Reid. Both this group and his group are invited..

Come along and stay for as long/little as you like!

Please note this isn't a screening event, but if you'd like to go see some films then take a look at the 'About' Section of this group and I've compiled a list of screenings. Birds Eye Film Festival as well as the Human Rights Watch Festival is this month and there are lots of things to see...Feel free to add your own too for the rest of the group to see.

I hope to see many of you soon!

Best wishes,

Kez

"This Documentary Makers Development Workshop is an opportunity for Documentary Makers within the group to get together and come up with ideas for ongoing activities based around the group that will provide opportunities for Documentary Makers to market themselves and increase their skills.

The approach of this initial development workshop will be:

What can 20 or more Documentary Makers working as a group do to market and increase their skills that one on their own can not?

This is your opportunity to put forward suggested activities that will benefit those interested in making documentaries, no matter how out of the box or wild they may seem.

Some possible ideas might include:

Could a group get discounts on relevant training courses, membership of associations or equipment prices?

Is there something happening within London that the group could make a marketable documentary about?

Could we get occasional guest speakers who specialise in documentary making?

These are only some possibilities and are not meant to limit in anyway your own ideas or suggestions.

The point of this first meeting is to explore all possible ideas for practical activities that will enhance the development of our groups documentary makers as well as raise their profiles within the film community.

So, if your interested in documentary making, then come along and bring your ideas, thoughts and suggestions, and see how you can make a difference.

Why not RSVP now!"
