London IVC is a non profit making activity and social club. Events are organised by the members, for the members. There are about 520 members at present. Through this new Meet Up group, London IVC is giving potential new members a chance to come along to one or two selected events each month for free! Meet both existing IVCers and Meet Up members in a friendly atmosphere.
London IVC is no fly by night organisation, here today, gone tomorrow. We've been in existence for 65 years and we'll be here as long as you need us.
IVC offers sporting, social and cultural activities for like-minded people, with over 100 events each month. Are you making the most of your spare time? London IVC is part of a national network, the Association of Intervarsity Clubs.

Originally founded around 65 years ago, by graduates who missed the opportunities provided by their student union, IVC has a wide range of like-minded people who want to do active things in their leisure time. Clubs Within a Club
The following are some of our popular activities for which a regular programme runs within our programme as a whole (many sports events being seasonal, of course). These activities form "Sub-clubs" within the Club as a whole. Sub-clubs also exist for entertainment trips e.g. theatre, cinema, opera, ballet and jazz, rhythm 'n blues. In addition to its varied programme of activities, the club holds a weekly club night, and a variety of social events, including several major parties a year held in central London venues.
Whilst London IVC prides itself on being open to new members of all ages, we do have a 20's & 30's sub-club specialising in social events in the more trendy wine bars, lively theme pubs and clubs that attract young professionals in the West End.

We are a non-profit making club run by members for members. Most of our events are organised and run by enthusiastic volunteers among our members. Vary it! IVC provides a framework for you to experience a range of pursuits, whether sporting or cultural. Most activities cater for everyone from complete beginners to enthusiasts. Get to know new people as you try something new.
Regular activities
Many activities take place on a weekly, or otherwise regular, basis, enabling you to pursue a chosen sport or other hobby with other like-minded people.
Don't break the bank!
Most events are very affordable with cost limited to that of admissions/food/accommodation etc. (some admin costs apply to weekends, parties and some adventure activities).
Country walks and London heritage walks are free with no pre-booking required. Most sports and cultural day or evening events are at admissions/facilities cost only, often with no pre-booking required. Most weekends away are very affordably priced.
Expand your social horizons
There is a lively social side to the club, however IVC is not a singles club and has some married as well as single members. As with so much in life, doing something tends to bring out the best in people, and many members find particular social dividends from activity-centred events such as sports, activity weekends and dance.
