We had a great time during our weekend trip to London. Jeff & Tamas, thanks a bunch for making us feel welcome! Will try to attend again when coming back to London.

A longish game of Exodus, very scrappy with lots of WMD. My nukes all missed in the final round however, so I did not get to wipe out that many planets:(
Then a round of Taluva, followed by Hab & Gut and the Coloretto.

Also, my brother was visiting and everyone made him feel welcome - he had a lot of fun so thanks everyone!

Very fun game for the most part. Might tweak the resources and damage tracking a little to make it quicker. Would love to play with 4 again.

Anyone up for an old school game of Talisman?

That was fun! I still cannot believe that my first and final Crown of Command spell essentially back-fired. It clearly was not quality controlled ;)

That was a fairly funny ending! Definitely not the way we all expected it to turn out!

Despite trying to knock myself unconscious I have to consider it a success for finally getting to play my copy of Ghost Stories I've been bringing in for the last 4 weeks.
Forgot to bring a note from my mum for being late.

OK - the flu bug has finally passed, so I'm actually planning on showing up to one of my own meetups for a change. :) I've spoken with the landlord of the Old Star, and he's asking us to stay upstairs from now on, as he reckons that it's tourist season and he wants to keep his tables clear for folks he thinks will come in, order a meal and then quickly vacate the tables. He knew about the tube closures over the last few weekends which is why he didn't mind us going in instead (his trade comes from people enroute to Buck House from the tube who then happen to notice the pub) - so he thinks that with the tube back running tomorrow that he wants to keep us upstairs. He's also pointed out that over the last few weeks a few LoB'ers have been bringing in their own food/drink, which is VERY against the rules, as it jeopardises our free use of the venue. I'm hoping it was a newbie doing this, and would really appreciate your help pointing out the rules to anyone who needs a reminder!

I'm on the waiting list and hope to see you on Saturday. Meanwhile here's a funny short video that promotes the benefits of playing board games:

Please share if you agree with it!

As worrying as those videogamers are, the board gamers are actually scarier, anyone that shiny and smiley has gotta be in a cult.

Those who cannot make it, please change your RSVP to a no, even if you are on the waiting list. This way we can give people time to prepare to come along if they are able and get bumped up on the waiting list.

I would be interested in playing any of the following: Le Havre, Through The Ages, Trajan, Clash of Cultures, El Grande or Age of Empires 3. I have played them all at least once but wouldn't feel comfortable teaching. I can bring Le Havre, Through the Ages or Ages of Empires 3. Let me know :) Teri

Any chance of this expanding out from 45 players again? It's going to seem a bit lonely now!

I'm guessing we've had a bit of a push with the landlord and stress tested our 'market' last couple of weeks. Probably have to leave things to Jeff to see if we got any extra headroom out of the experiment (perhaps going over capacity slightly to account for some people leaving early / comming later is a viable option?). Also Saturday we struggled slightly for table space and there seemed to be a few options for being a little more 'efficient' with tables we were using upstairs (eg make better use of the smaller tables and keep larger ones as flexible as possible)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
