Monday night gaming

If you are new to London on Board check out this guide for new players. If you have any questions on the night or are having trouble getting into a game, then look out for the night's host, listed to the right.

If you plan on attending please RSVP. We only have 50 chairs and it gets uncomfortable for everyone if more people than that turn up. Similarly, please change your RSVP to no if it turns out you can't make it.

A Castle for All Season in which I stumbled drunk and half blind from one bad decision to another. Last by the girth of a stonemasons bcep. Navagador - in which I prove that ships are for wimps and that the only people who got rich off the endeavours of explorers were bankers and stay at homes. Another great night at LOB

Transamerica, Coup, Navegedor and Ra (playing the "hug the bag" variant). Great night.

Bookended the evening with TransAmerica but also played Dixit Odyssey, regular Carcassonne, Carcassonne: Winter Edition and Shadows Over Camelot, which I thought was going to be the board game but it turned out to be the card game version which was a fiendish memory game in disguise. Managed to win the game by failing a quest because somebody swapped the traitor card with me at the last minute.

I am determined to play some thing that has some crunch, some meat on the bones. But come 4.30 i will be tired and will pack the game bag with fillers and light to medium weight Euros instead.

Navegedor? If you're keen to a) bring it, b) teach it and of course c) play it. (Or is it too medium weight?)

What a good idea! I will bring it along

I'm bringing Legendary for Jules. Might as well make it a deck building night, so Trains as well.

    September 26, 2013

    • Jee

So trains will be played at roughly[masked]? I can hopefully find a game to play that will finish about that time

      September 30, 2013

    • Jules

Thanks John! I'll be there at 6pm. Can't wait! And I'd like to try Trains as well if there's space, if not I'll probably have DC comics DBG with me, if anyone else is interested.

I won't know until after 6.30pm whether I am able to attend or not and have no internet access after that time (after leaving work). Should I cancel my RVSP in favour of another now or would someone pass me their mobile number to cancel my RSVP through them later should I need to?

    September 30, 2013

    • Jacob T.

Would not worry about it, there are still seven spaces left, so not full. You can't cancel after it starts anyway.

Hi All, hat is the protocol for games? I have settlers of catan and games of thrones (original without expansion)

    September 24, 2013

    • Lloyd

If you want to get Game of Thrones going, I'd strongly suggest posting in advance to ensure you have enough players to make it worthwhile.

Please don't expect to turn up and immediately start playing. It can happen but if everyone is in the middle of playing then you will have to wait for them to finish or for the late comers

I enjoyed the games night on 23rd September (my first LOB night), so I'll be back for some more on 30th :)
