Bishops Finger Friday Gaming: 2Player Competition Game Friendly

We will be playing in the first floor function room. The capacity is 30 gamers.

Please note gamers that have entered the Agricola Cup are free to play their games at this meet. It is unlikely that there will be more than a few competition games taking place during the evening, but there is a chance that table space may be limited.

We are unlikely to have access to our games library from the red Herring so those attending are encouraged to bring along games to play.

The capacity is lower than at our parent venue the Red Herring and there may be some competition games taking place, if you are new to our club you may have a better time if you attend one of our regular meets at the Herring.

Started off playing Newhaven with Bonnie, Lloyd and Pouria, though I don't think I understood the scoring very well and got a miserable 6 points. Then a miserable 15 points in Little Prince: Make Me A Planet with Kester and Tommy but punished them later in Carcassonne: Hunters & Gatherers with the stupid shrine bonus tile. Then Ark Of The Covenant with Sambhav and Lawrence where shepherding won the day despite a prophet malfunction. Also a quick but ruthless game of TransAmerica and the obligatory Coup and Love Letter games.

lets ace facts. Stewart is good due to his brain being a positive encyclopedia of the game. When Stewart said.. "There is only one tile left with four clear tiles;" half way through the game, I knew the game was up.

Anyone fancy a game of Uwe Rosenberg's Caverna? Ideally people that are familiar with Agricola as there is lots of rules overlap.

Dont really want to try more than 4 as no one has played the game and we arent starting until 7. Otherwise I have a feeling we will be finishing past 10

I'd be up for Caverna (tried and bought it in Essen) but have to play Agricola cup game with Robin somehow as well.

I'm playing my round 5 match first. Then we need to try and be free at the same time afterwards.

Not the Finger, if you drew a triangle between Barbican, St Pauls and Farringdon it is in the middle. Of course, coming from the Northern line it would probably be quicker just to walk from Moorgate rather than change for one stop, but nevertheless, Moorgate is not quite the closest :) Also, isn't it weird that even though I RSVPed no, I still get the updates...

Yeah barbican is the closest. Then Farringdon and st paul about the same. I work around there

By the way, last Friday they told us they don't serve food on a Friday, so you might want to get a quick bite before coming!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
