Monday night gaming

If you are new to London on Board check out this guide for new players. If you have any questions on the night or are having trouble getting into a game, then look out for the night's host, listed to the right.

If you plan on attending please RSVP. We only have 50 chairs and it gets uncomfortable for everyone if more people than that turn up. Similarly, please change your RSVP to no if it turns out you can't make it.

'Twas indeed, good laugh. But note to self: NEVER again sit on the right hand side of Bijan.

I'd like to stress that it was Tzeentch's plan all along to come last :p

  • Karl B.

I taught Tzolk'in too well, that's all I can say... And For Sale too. But it's not the winning etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc...

The host was a bit dodgy but otherwise it was a nice night. Finally managed to get a game of Lewis and Clark under my belt :)

Just wanted to say thanks for a lovely evening. Too bad I don't live in London or I would come more often.
    Great location to play boardgames.

Nice to meet you. Well played on Ticket to Ride: Europe!

Finally played Kingdom Builder! Nice game, I am happy to play it every now and then, especially that no two games are the same. Then we've moved to Suburbia (+Inc.) in which I built a national park with a radioactive waste side right in its middle Formally did not win though, because of unintended cheating in the begging. I finished the evening with Alea Iacta Est.
Thanks for bringing the games John and thanks all for good fun!

Started the evening off with Marrkech, then Coup, Incan Gold, Dixit Odyssey, Carcassonne: South Seas, new game Alea Iacta Est (The Die Has Been Cast) which was like a Roman-themed Yahtzee but more complex that I loved. Then finished off with The Resistance.

I have Tammany Hall with me, hoping to play it after the Chaos game finishes, probably around 8.

    2 · February 17

    • Haakon

Got no time for Tammany, next time I bring it I'll make it first course instead.

I'd really like to learn Kingdom Builder one day... However if GoT goes ahead I will be most likely stuck in it for the whole evening ;p

      February 15

    • Kajetan

GoT is cancelled so if there are any spots left in Kingdom Builder count me in I'll try to make before 6pm

Sorry chaps, I wont make it tonight now, so Winter isn't coming. It might make an apperance next Monday instead though?

      February 17

  • Danny F.

    I'll bring Elder Sign

    February 17

  • Pedro

I'm bringing Tash-Kalar unless life happens and I can't make it. Shout if you're keen on playing! I haven't played it myself yet.

    February 15

    • Pedro

      Thanks for the tip, Lloyd!

      February 17

    • russell

I played it 4 player 1st time, all newbies, no issues there

      February 17

  • Ali

Would anyone be interested in playing Courtier? It's an area control/influence game set in the Tempest universe. It's not that difficult to learn how to play, but has a good depth of strategy. Takes up to four and would be about 90 minutes for a game made up of new players.

As I'm hosting I was thinking of a few "lighter" games, no not games with lighters! but maybe something like Oregon, Ave Caesar, or Goblins Inc. :)

    1 · February 14

    • Jokke M.

I'm up for some lighter games. I have played neither of the three, but heared great things about them. Don't know when I'll arrive though... Hopefully somewhat on time.

      February 15

    • Rocky

No problems Jokke, the good thing about all three of them is that they are quite quick so even if you arrive and we're playing it won't take long to get another game going :)

      February 15

  • Arimathea

Hiya, just signed up this evening. Used to play regularly with a group of friends abroad and again with strangers in another part of abroad. Great to find like-minded people, I hope to make it to a group soon!

  • Rocky

Please don't bring your own food and drink to any of the venues. The pubs allow us to use their function rooms for free because we buy their food & drink. You are not forced to buy anything, but please don't put the club in danger of losing it's room by bringing your own into the meeting. Thanks everyone :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
