Tuesday night gaming

If you are new to London on Board check out this guide for new players. If you have any questions on the night or are having trouble getting into a game, then look out for the night's host, listed to the right.

If you plan on attending please RSVP. We only have 50 chairs and it gets uncomfortable for everyone if more people than that turn up. Similarly, please change your RSVP to no if it turns out you can't make it.

"It's a flood, prime minister!". "I want this fixed. Now! Money is no object." "But they're dead-eyed, ravenous and revolting, sir." "Don't worry, they voted for me before, I'm sure I can convince them to do it again." "No, sir. Zombies! They're everywhere - and no Cobra meeting planned this side of Easter." But the UK was soon submerged under the rising tide... of the feasting dead. --- Thanks to Jacob for bringing along Zombie State, which turned out to be great fun. The sense of despairing fatalism at the outset soon gives way to a grim acceptance that all flesh must be eaten. And then, suddenly, against all the odds, things get worse. Amazingly, as research begins to bite, the free people fight back and, like an Arab Spring, the whole thing is suddenly over. Europe settled for survival, holed up in Russia, but James ably led South America to triumph, with nuked-up Africa close behind. Meanwhile, Mr President Temple... Well, let's say there are no photo ops on the White House Lawn.

Russia survived through its totalitarian quarantine rules, along with the Chinese and its Great Wall, but it was the Southern Hemisphere that triumphed -despite South Africa declaring its intention to Nuke everyone before any zombies had even turned up.

Yes, there was much talk of Africa nuking everything.

Loads of fun playing Fauna and Euphoria. I learned I have no idea where grey goose live which really scuppered my plans. Euphoria is really great, definitely want to play again.

If you total the stars you place from 3 or 4 games you should get to 10 :) Apparently, someone is selling a copy of Euphoria on the LoB forums...

I can't imagine what it is like playing the hard(er) cards in Fauna. Definitely enjoyed playing both of these games.

A good night. Thanks to Tom and Pouria for teaching/playing Lewis & Clark (a fun but unexceptional game) and Cable Car (with added Lloyd and Bonnie Kate) - a game that's way cleverer than it is fun (but its OK). Now THAT'S how you damn things with faint praise.

Room for Zombie State (5 player) or Infamy (4 player). Preference?

    February 15

    • Derek L.

OK, I'll bite (I assume that's good for Zombies?).

One space left, or we can leave Asia undefended.

Anyone up for any of the following? Tigris & Euphrates, Lewis & Clark, Puerto Rico, Taluva, Hanabi, The Agents, Cable Car, Ra, Hacienda.

    February 13

    • Lloyd

I wouldn't mind trying Cable Car again.

    February 17

    • Behrooz S.

Sorry Andy, I'm not there long enough to play anything like that. Can you set up something on BaJ?

      February 17

  • Simon H

    Sorry, can't make it.

Does anyone have Wildcatters? I read a review recently and would be interested in giving it a go.

I do but Tuesdays not my night

      February 16

    • Derek L.

And is it a game worth chasing down? Even if that means tracking you down to your usual night?

      February 17

  • Behrooz S.

    I'll be there until 6:15.

    February 14

    • Jacob T.

Makes sense, a lot of people don't even get there until 6.30 so it is not like you will be overfilling.

I will probably return for the last hour, too.
