Tuesday night gaming

If you are new to London on Board check out this guide for new players. If you have any questions on the night or are having trouble getting into a game, then look out for the night's host, listed to the right.

If you plan on attending please RSVP. We only have 50 chairs and it gets uncomfortable for everyone if more people than that turn up. Similarly, please change your RSVP to no if it turns out you can't make it.

"Speed" Ticket-to-Ride, followed by the brain-burner Tok-Tok Woodman, followed by Stone Age. So, a good night then.

'Shouting and exhilaration' + 'Stone Age'; there are two phrases you don't often see in the same sentence (no offense!)

Jason had an outrageously bad run of dice

Good evening. Thanks to Ian for bringing Machi Koro and for kicking me when down at Bruges... :)

    2 · May 13

    • Roger (.

Machi Koro made me first print it and then think about a better version... just another idea...

      May 14

    • Mark C.

Ah but will your new version have the hypnotic power that turned us all into fluent Japanese translators I wonder! LOL

Seems like ages since I was at the Herring. Good to be back and bump into a few old(er) faces.
Played a very close game of Nexus Ops which I think the other 3 enjoyed on their first play. Good, silly game of Cash n Guns followed by Cartagena; a nice light race game. Ended with a quick Cosmic Encounter, a slight miscalculation meant it was shorter than intended!

    • John G.

Certainly enjoyed Nexus Ops. Would love a chance for a rematch some time in the future!

      May 14

    • Robin B.

I thought it ended exactly where I intended it to:-) Nathan might not agree though...

Starting with a game of Skulls and Roses (spared the chop only by its brevity) we mashed up Pouria with one of Stone Age tool (don't bother). It was then time to beat the hell out of Ian at Machi Koro (played with Japanese and US dice...) after a first training game. Ian showed us his amazing skills in Japanese (私も日本語を話すことができます). This was followed by an interesting game of Bruges. A fine evening.

but will you be saying that after game 79?

this has still not be burned at the stake?

      1 · May 14

  • Nathan

Taluva, Fairy Tale, a quick Dobble duel, Nexus Ops, Cash n Guns, Cartegena and Cosmic Encounter. To be fair the slight miscalculation was unavoidable, regardless of my not realising the extent of Robin's poison! Lessons to be learned: bluffing a condition not realising it gives someone else an auto win is not a good idea!

    May 14

    • Robin B.

Agreed, not a good idea. But it was fairly amusing, particularly when you had moments before negotiated a deal to put me on four colonies!!

      May 14

  • Joe B

Excellent night as always, my mining company (or something?) was victorious in the excellent Nexus Ops and my pirates were the saltiest sea dogs Cartagena. Hurrah for everyone!

    May 14

  • Dan

A great 5p game of the gric with just an 8 point spread. Cyrus proved he was not just a pretty face, Bijan taken down a peg or two
