Friday night gaming

If you are new to London on Board check out this guide for new players. If you have any questions on the night or are having trouble getting into a game, then look out for the night's host, listed to the right.

If you plan on attending please RSVP. We only have 50 chairs and it gets uncomfortable for everyone if more people than that turn up. Similarly, please change your RSVP to no if it turns out you can't make it.

Played Letters from Whitechapel all might long, it was quite good!

Played Lords Of War (Templars versus Dwarves) which was great fun and had an old school Games Workshop feel about it which I loved. Also Lords Of Waterdeep, Citadels, Carcassonne: South Seas and Coloretto.

  • Stuart (.

Wah, somebody took my copy of Coloretto (the German import). There were two copies of in the games library but none were mine.

If I don't play Lords Of Waterdeep I will pop!

Ah, sorry did not see this, Anthony. But I usually bring Waterdeep along with me if you want to corner me for a game in the future.

There seem to be a few new people, so I shall be your host, and I have a reputation to keep up: on Tuesday one new person left really early and another told me they were never coming again.
So, even though I'll be there to say 'H!' and try to get you in to games there is not actually a rule that you have to speak to me :)
Everyone... *checks list of people coming*... okay, most people are really friendly and happy to teach you a game so don't be shy about asking.

    May 29

    • Mike E

Why are you going to say 'H!' to people?

      May 30

  • Ian P.

Dripping because I have things I need to get done

If anyone is interested in playing Pandemic (4-player co-op) I will run a game later in the evening -- assuming there's time after Lords of Waterdeep (and if there's not, I will have my copy along anyway, so somebody else can use it). New players welcome!

Your best bet for TM is a weekend session as someone usually brings it.

I have old retro 1970s type board games Spyring,Buccaneer, Campaign and Cluedo. Is their a regular string of games you play or does anything go. However I want to pick up on newer stuff now.

    • Jacob T.

Hello Mark. The Red Herring is where we keeps our Game Library with a lot of choice. The link at the top for new people lists a lot of the likely games. If you know Boardgamegeek you can look up any of the games people are advertising on here and ask to join in.
