Came to the meetup with no firm plans and just dropped into 'Shadows of Camelot'. This is one I've meant to try for ages and it turned out to be a classic, 7-player epic! Thanks to everyone who played for making it great experience, the whole traitor mechanic was just the icing on the cake! Only time for a couple of hands of 6 Nimmt before we got kicked out (as usual) shortly after 10.

Arrived just in time to slot into a game of Shadows over Camelot, which turned out to be hilarious - the knights sailed through the first half of the game, only for things to go horrendously bristols up. Kudos to Oak for being a convincingly innocent-looking traitor.

An easy victory in Stronghold. Oh, for some competition! ;) Then a few hands of 6 Nimmt and No Thanks! - both great card games. A second play of The Climbers which remains interesting.

The Battle for Hill 218 went badly. I regrouped and was soon crowned King of Tokyo. Chaos in the Old World was interesting but I felt I had the blandest God, Slaanesh. I would like to play again as someone else. Rattus was ok.

Only stayed for about an hour--a quick first game of A Few Acres of Snow. Fantastic stuff. An easy French victory (having played a couple solo games beforehand gave a huge advantage). May prove one of my Wallace favourites; seems to suggest many strategies to victory, and requires some careful thinking to manage the growing deck of cards, especially as your grow and settle more villages. Look forward to the next game!

Counted 44, which was much more sane number. Introduced to the KeyFoo genre with KeyMarket (via JohnB) - in which I did worse than expected. Then a revisit of In the Year of the Dragon (via Russell), in which I did much than expected. Finally Parade, in which I did colossally worse than expected. Still, did some profitable newbie-wrangling, so a good night.

7 Wonders (with Leaders); The Climbers, which is great fun; Felix: The Cat in the Sack, which I always like; King of Tokyo, which was a surprising game where nobody died; Dominion, with all the trimmings; finally some 6 Nimmt! And I got my copy of Coloretto back from forgetting it on Sunday, so thanks very much Conrad!

Henrik, is right I forgot to RSVP. Did not know I was going until 4.30pm and even then I forgot to click RSVP. Another excellent night -I was brilliantly introduced to Cuba and Brass. It's grim up north...

Played 3 games this session, a personal record. The highlight was the 5 player Chaos in the Old World. It was the first time I had played with the expansion and will definately be having additional play sessions in the future.

Good number and I'd say almost max. capacity, although I have the sneaking impression that a handful have not RSPVd and showed up still. Swift Battle for the Hill 218 with Ronan, good and quick . 2-Player stronghold with my nemesis and I lost ! I want a rematch and next time I will crush you ! A game of climbers, interesting, more a toy than a game, not sure there is a lot of strategy to it, three hands of No Thanks and few hands of 6 Nimmt, good fun.

Key Market, In the Year of Dragon, Parade

  • Scott A.

I'll be there at 6 30 with a copy of brass, happy to play automobile as well.

    July 19, 2011

  • Dominic

Have bought Set, Bang!, Citadels, and Fluxx Zombie (ie four small boxed games)

    July 19, 2011

  • Will

David - I would be happy to play Automobile depending on when you are starting?

    July 19, 2011

  • david

Anyone fancy Automobile? If not and If there is a slot in Chaos I'd be up for that.

    July 18, 2011

  • Simon H

@Henrik/Oak: 'Horror/Amish'? Killing Zombies the non-violent, low-tech way? Put me down for some of that!

    July 18, 2011

  • Chris O.

@Adam I won't be there until 6pm at the earliest anyway, so we'll probably start at 6:30 ish. The game is very easy to pick up, but hard to strategise. I will do my best to help out in that regard.

    July 18, 2011

  • Zubbus O R.

Yes Henrik, I am interested both Darkness and W & W.

    July 18, 2011

  • Will

Happy to read the rules and give it a go (and to be aggressive!).

    July 18, 2011

  • Mike

Will... I haven't played yet. A few others have said it's about an hour, Wallace himself says it can be a bit longer depending on how aggressively people play.

    July 18, 2011

  • Oak

'I do have an obscure little horror/ameritrash game' - I read this post by henrik and read it as 'horror/amish! Would love to give it a go either way at some point.

    July 18, 2011

  • Will

Mike - How long does it take? I would like to give a 5:30 kick off is its shortish.

    July 18, 2011

  • Mike

I just received A Few Acres of Snow in the post today. Anyone interested in a quick game of Wallace's new battle for early-Canada semi-wargame? Can't stay late so a 5:30ish start would be better....

When darkness comes is a great game I would like to have joined if I wasn't tied up into a game already.
Keep always to guys together when moving on the board for encounters!

    July 18, 2011

  • Mike E

I'd be interested in giving When Darkness Comes a go. How long is it?
I could also bring Last night on Earth (to run before/afterwards if time). Are there any takers?

    July 18, 2011

  • Paul L.

Just posting to let everyone know I am switching to Wednesdays.

    July 18, 2011

  • Adam

I'm up for Chaos in the Old World - I've played it once before and would be interested to try the expansion - I won't be able to get there til about 6:30 though, do you mind waiting?

    July 17, 2011

  • Chris O.

Having read through the Horned Rat expansion, I do believe it's very straight forward to add a 5th player without making it too complex, so I'm adding a slot for this game if anyone is interested!

    July 16, 2011

  • Chris O.

OK we have 4! Technically we could have a 5th as I have the expansion, but I haven't played it yet :( So I'd rather stick to a 4 game but will go to 5 if pressed!

    July 16, 2011

  • Chris O.

OK we have one more slot for Chaos in the Old World, any takers?

    July 15, 2011

  • Ronan

Chaos in the Old World sounds good.

    July 15, 2011

  • John B

    Paul, I thought you might

    July 15, 2011

  • Riccardo F.

@Chris I'd be up for Chaos in the Old World. Played half a game of it some time ago so I sort of know the rules but I'll probably need a refresher.
I might bring Fury of Dracula, anyone interested in trying it out?

    July 15, 2011

  • Chris O.

Anyone interested in a game of Chaos in the Old World? I've had one go of it and found it to be quite fun. If you fancy being an evil Demi god for a few hours, let me know!

    July 15, 2011

  • Paul A.

@JohnB: KeyFoo is on my list to be played. Count me in.

    July 15, 2011

  • John B

Keythederal and Key Market I think

    July 14, 2011

  • Jan W.

    Thanks - ordered :-)

    July 14, 2011

  • Zubbus O R.

If you google "9 pocket page" under shopping they will show up. They tend not to fit with the sleeves.

    July 14, 2011

  • Jan W.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I mean the a4 sized firm plastic sheets that hold 9-12 or more sets of cards in them (ie sets of kingdom cards) This makes a box of dominion something that fits in a an A4 rigid envelope. Any ideas?

    July 14, 2011

  • Jan W.

Desperate help needed from the brilliant chaps who have managed to squeeze dominion in to something that can be fitted in a briefcase - what were the plastic holders? Where are they from? Where can I get them? Otherwise I am due a fortnight without :-(
